From Local Fields to Global Futures

Across West Essex, East Hertfordshire and London, we’re creating safe, inclusive spaces where young people can grow through sport, music, arts, and mentoring. Our programmes help build confidence, creativity, and wellbeing, opening up positive pathways into education, training, and employment.

Beyond the UK, we’re extending our mission internationally, supporting communities Kenya through sport, creative education, and empowerment projects that inspire expression, opportunity, and lasting change.

Frequently Ask Questions

SAF empowers young people aged 4–25 through sport, education, mentoring, and community engagement. We help break down barriers, from financial hardship to social exclusion, so every young person can build a healthier, happier, and more confident future.

Our programmes are open to all young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), physical disabilities, or from marginalised or underrepresented backgrounds. We also work with families and community groups to create supportive environments for everyone.

We currently work across West Essex, London and East Hertfordshire, including Harlow, Enfield,  Sawbridgeworth, Uttlesford and Elsenham & Henham. Internationally, we’re expanding projects in Kenya, helping rural communities access sport, education, and wellbeing initiatives.

We combine sport, education, and mentorship to create long-term impact — not just short-term activity. Our team includes experienced coaches, youth workers, and mentors who focus on personal growth, leadership, and real-world opportunities for young people.

You can get involved by volunteering, partnering with us, or supporting a local project. Whether you’re a teacher, business, or individual, your time and energy can help us reach more young people and build stronger, more inclusive communities.

SAF is proudly supported through a mix of grants, community fundraising, sponsorships, and donations. This funding allows us to deliver high-quality, inclusive programmes that change lives locally and globally. Every contribution — big or small — goes directly towards helping young people access sport, education, and mentoring opportunities.

We’re always looking to partner with local and national businesses that share our values. Sponsoring an SA Foundation project helps create real community impact — from funding youth sport sessions and mentoring programmes to supporting international development initiatives. In return, we offer meaningful partnership opportunities, community visibility, and the chance to make a lasting difference together.

We measure impact by combining real data with real stories. Alongside attendance records, wellbeing surveys, and feedback from schools and partners, we also gather case studies and personal stories that show the human side of our work. These help us understand what’s working, celebrate success, and continually improve the way we support young people and communities.

Yes! Every donation helps us continue delivering free and inclusive programmes that make a real difference to young people’s lives. Your support helps fund sports equipment, mentoring sessions, creative workshops, and community outreach. You can make a one-off or regular donation, sponsor a project, or even fundraise on our behalf — every contribution counts.

Together, we’re breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and building brighter futures for young people. Whether you volunteer, sponsor, or simply share our mission, your support helps communities move, learn, and grow.
